Gary Neville reveals regret after being confronted in street by man

Man United legend and football pundit Gary Neville and his wife, Emma, were subjected to verbal abuse by a man while walking through Manchester earlier this week.

The man filmed himself swearing at Neville, repeatedly calling him derogatory names, and later posted the footage online.

Neville recounted on his Stick to Football podcast that he feared the man's “very aggressive dog” would be unleashed during the confrontation.

He expressed regret at not having filmed the abuser himself and highlighted the particular distress caused by his wife being present during the incident.

Neville's podcast co-hosts, Ian Wright and Jill Scott, condemned the “horrible” and “out of order” behaviour directed at him and his wife.
